The continent of Antarctica was discovered 200 years ago. It was the last region on Earth in recorded history to be discovered. This commemorative design celebrates that discovery. Sometimes called “the international continent”, it is currently home to 70 research stations, representing 29 countries. The design will appeal to geologists, oceanographers, physicists, astronomers, glaciologists, and meteorologists.
